This ring is inspired by Victorian Shadow boxes that held specimens of insects, I think they are so beautiful and intriguing. The center stone is a domed quartz that is meant to look like the domed glass over a Victorian shadow box. Underneath the quartz is a sterling silver butterfly and open 4 pointed star. Surrounding the quartz and butterfly is a baroque silver frame of scrolls. On the band there are 2 light green natural peridot gems, they have a combined weight of approx. .06 carats.
The bottom wedding band has a complimentary silver scrolls and is set with an additional approx .03 natural light yellow sapphire.
The rings are cast in solid sterling silver, they have been oxidized and polished to add the dark contrast.
The Butterfly ring on it's own is 16mm's wide at the top and 2mm's wide at the back.
When stacked the 2 ring set is about 21mm's at the top and each band is about 2mm's wide.
